We’re a group of designers with a knack for getting our hands dirty, making things that get used, and bringing tangible products to life and to market.
We take a design and production approach that blends both the technical and the organic. Our ideas usually start developing with sketches, which we then turn into technical drawings. From those, we make laser cut profile templates, which we use to measure the vessels we throw, ensuring both a consistent and quality product that’s created by hand. Though we use modern technology to
ensure we can replicate the ideas we draw, there’s a particular level of craft that comes from throwing each piece by hand that can never be replicated by industrial machines. No matter how tiny the differences, each piece is indeed unique, and subtly reflects the details of the moment it was made. Traditionally, ceramics has been an industry of small studios, often in the homes of the
makers. We take our inspiration from those studios and the people whose love of their craft was what fueled their commitment to creating. By adding some production capacity in both space and staff, we are taking our similar desire and commitment and bringing it to a larger audience. The goal, though, is the same: hand thrown quality, made with intent and passion.
