The mediums we manipulate have commonality; they are natural materials, harvested from the earth in their raw state but destined to become something all together different. These bits of clay, sand, minerals and ore have served humankind for thousands of years -- they have a rich history, ranging from utilitarian wares and vessels to decorative and ceremonial objects. We look to continue this tradition at Mazama Wares, blending functionality with a timeless, modern aesthetic to create vessels that elevate the experience of enjoying our favorite craft beverages.
We source each of these elements as close to home as possible, with the bulk of the raw material originating from our own backyard. Our network of regional clay, glass and glaze suppliers shares the same belief that transparent, sustainable sourcing nets the best product possible; many of their own raw material suppliers have been local trading partners for decades. Like the countless generations before us that foraged and transformed clay and sand into pots and glassware, each of our wares carries defining characteristics distinctive to our own region. The spirit of the Northwest is alive in every piece we produce.
